Viking axe with wings, inspired on many finds of the Viking Era.
The wings were a very common complement on spears. Many examples present bases and wings with a luxurious decoration on it, but the purpose is a purely practicalmatter: to avoid that the spear goes all the way through the pray.
In battle, the purpose was the same, and the wings prevent the warrior to get disarmed after an attack.
The wings turn this spear into a very versatile weapon, as it could hook or push the edge of a shield, opening the guard of the enemy.
It present rounded edges and a blunt point in order to make it safe for combat.
