Viking Chape Fitting for Sword Scabbard from Sweden

Sword chape based on an archaeological find from Sweden, and dated from the 10-11th century.
This piece was used to protect and decorate the end of a sword scabbard. It presents a zoomorphic motif that looks like a bird, it also has a geometric decoration composed by concetrical circles and dots.
It was possibly a very common design, as many similar pieces has been found at Poland, Lithuania and Russia.
