Product Details
Silk brocade based on the fresco of the Chapel at the Esztergom Castle, Hungary. Dated from the 9-10th centuries.
Its resemblance with the fabric found at Saint Siviard gives the impression that the author of the fresco was inspired by some kind of silk wall tapestries.
This awesome fabric presents a pattern with medallions with plant motifs which surround lions with a tree in the background. The spaces between the circles are decorated with ornamental rosettes.
This kind of fabrics were very common at the eastern Europe, as they were made mainly on Byzantium, and their use use extended throughout western Europe.

Width of the fabric: 75 cm (4 medallions).
Minimum order: 0.2 meter.
Composition: 75% silk, 25% rayon
