Spindle for spinning wool in the traditional way.
It's based on several early medieval exemplars. It's finely carved with geometrical motifs typical of the Viking Age. The carvings have been highlighted with a mixture of vegetable charcoal and beeswax.
Handmade of birch wood and deer antler.
Approx. length from 18 to 25 cm.
