Crucifix inspired by the cross of Saint Cuthbert, dated from the second half of the 7th century.
Saint Cutbert of Lindisfarne (c. 634 - March 20, 687), Anglo-Saxon monk and bishop, one of the greatest saints of medieval England and patron saint of Northumbria.
This piece is a miniature of the original cross, which was worn by Cuthbert on that time.
