Product Details

This padlock is based on the archaeological find from the island of Birka, on Lake Mälaren, Sweden. It is dated from the 8th- 9th century.

Its simple but original mechanism consists of 3 tips with springs that are unlocked by inserting the key into the side slot of the padlock and sliding it up.

When the key holes compress the springs, the top of the padlock is released and the padlock is opened.

Handforged of steel.

Dimensions: 5 x 6 x 12 cm.
