Beautiful necklace, based on the original made of silver and rock crystal (quartz), wich was found on Domerarve/Öja, at Gotland, Sweden (11th century).
The manufacturing of these pieces required a high skill, and it could be considered as the finest and delicated jewel made by the silversmiths during the Viking Age.
In order to offer a good priced piece, this pendant is made of bronze silver plated and glass. It presents a hook shaped clasp made of silver.
The beads used are also replicas of Viking Age archaeological finds. Although the originals were made of silver using the technique of granulate and filigree, our reproductions are made of silver-plated bronze cast.
